Take an afternoon to pause, breathe, and create with your hands. This guided handbuilding pottery workshop is designed for anyone looking to unwind through a tactile, mindful experience. 

You’ll get to explore clay through pinch pots, working only with your hands and simple tools. Immerse yourself in the soothing rhythm of shaping, forming, and connecting with material and moment.

There is no restriction on what can be made, as long as it is within 12x12x12cm. Think matcha bowls, teacups, small vases, trinket trays, plates, mini sculptures–anything at all!

Suitable for all levels, no prior experience needed. 

What to Expect

In this 2.5-hour workshop, you will:

• Work with real porcelain clay. It's smooth, silky, and wonderfully forgiving.
• Shape and pinch your own vessel. 
• Paint and decorate your piece with a variety of underglazes for a one-of-a-kind finish.

It’s a chance to  slow down, and enjoy the gentle satisfaction of making something from scratch.

Before We Start

Dress comfortably. Clay may get on your hands or sleeves, but it washes off easily with water. Short nails are recommended for the best experience (they make shaping the clay a lot easier).

After the Workshop

Your piece will be glazed and fired for you, ready for collection in about 6 weeks from the workshop date. Please collect them from The Olive Cove within one month thereafter.

Early bird (by 27 Dec): $75 per pax
Regular rate: $85 per pax. Sign up as a pair for $80 per pax.

Each piece tells its own story. A small curve here, a soft imperfection there. That’s the beauty of clay: it reflects the quiet, human process of making.
